Menopause and aging changes affect physical and functional aspects of a woman’s life. This course focuses on the physical changes in the neuromusculoskeletal, urogenital and gastrointestinal systems and how these changes can be minimized. Eighty percent of women between 35 and 75 years of age will experience significant organ prolapse that interferes with physical performance and daily activities. This course covers assessment of common musculoskeletal problems, bladder and bowel dysfunction, organ prolapse, back and foot pain and standing balance/falls. Treatment strategies include Abdominal Core Power exercises that prevent further organ descent, use of the Wonder W’edge for inversion and realignment, Roll for Control exercises for back pain and standing balance and Physiological Quieting for A.N.S. rebalancing.
