A. Fibromyalgia is chronic pain as opposed to inflammation of the soft tissues of the body. These tissues include muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. It is considered a syndrome rather than a disease. It is a complex of symptoms rather than a pathological process that progresses over time. Chronic pervasive pain throughout the body is the major compalint.
